Baby Chicks: Ancona Female Reviews

4.6 Rating 38 Reviews
This was the first time having baby chicks shipped but was so excited and happy when they arrived safe and sound! This little girl is the smallest of the bunch but the most inquisitive of the flock. Because she's an Italian breed we named her Louisa. At 3 weeks old now, she loves to explore and is pretty independent and loves to cuddle. Can't wait to see her feathers change in the following weeks.

I just love these girls! They are so beautiful and friendly! They lay bright white large eggs! I received my chicks the week of Jan.23rd and they all just started laying in the last 4-5 weeks! (6-6.5 months old) So pleased with all of them! Gorgeous birds and all new to my flock. Arrived happy and healthy

Our 3 chicks (including 1 Ancona) arrived quickly and were in peak health. You can almost see them growing. We can't wait for their personalities to further develop and are looking forward to eggs this Fall.

Our Ancona is 3 years old now. She is healthy and beautiful. We should've paid closer attention to her not being cold-hardy because of her gorgeous, floppy comb. We slather her up w aquaphor for the winter to help reduce risk of frostbite. Terrific bird and is at the top of the pecking order.
