“Our Silver Appleyard ducklings have done well. We lost one the day after receiving them but all the others have really done well. We can‚Äôt wait to get duck eggs to eat and sell.”
“My ducklings arrived in mid-February in great condition! I got a variety of breeds and chose this one, and the others, for its reported calm personality and have been very pleased. We handled the ducklings regularly and gave them ground mealworms for treats right from our hands. Their feathers are coming in now and they are simply stunning! Very alert but they don't freak out like some breeds do every time you go to the pen.”
“I had a few hours of anxiety because the postal tracking system didn't update and I couldn't find the package. I was finally able to get ahold of someone at my local post office who told me that he was just about to call me but was so distracted by the chirping coming from the box on his desk that he hadn't gotten around to it :)
Once I pried them away from the staff at the post office and got them home and warmed up in the brooder they got to work eating and drinking and exploring. I was thrilled to find sexed Silver Appleyards and although I was nervous about having them shipped through the mail they seem to have tolerated it well. I'm excited to watch my baby girls grow up!”
