... so hard to poke and push foods through those slits. Chickens did enjoy kicking it around but I have only used it twice because of the trouble getting goodies in it.

They were scared. The flew away wanting no part of it. Even with cabbage inside. Sorry

My Girls love this treat ball. I fill it with greens, spinach, lettuce, kale, cabbage & toss it in their run. They chase each other & the treat ball all around. Provides lots of exercise & entertains them for hours on cold winter days.

positive: dishwasher safe negatives: chickens afraid of it, difficult to wedge treats into, difficult to remove uneaten treats, smaller treats fall out

I use mine with my 2 Pekin ducks. I use baby kale, I used cabbage but didn't work. Make sure you leave some stuff hanging out so they know what's in there. They are trained now and get all quacky when I bring it out. It would be nice if you could open it to clean it out, but I just dunk it in their pool to do that.

I used shredded cabbage in mine. Made sure it was sticking out of the holes. Chickens went for it!

Good sturdy ball but everyone of my 15 chickens think this ball is scary or few just have no interest. Tried to show them it was fun that really scared them when it jingles.. untouched. Bummer.
