“Our Blue Copper Maran came in the rare maran assortment (we figured out when she grew older by process of elimination using her color/size/feathers). She just laid her first egg at 19 weeks...our first layer!! She's definitely larger than the rest but such a sweetie. Her egg was light brown.”

They don't lay every day, but they seem to be bearing the hot, humid weather better than some of our others and have kept laying pretty steadily. More than half of their eggs are double yolks, and we've had a few quadruple yolk eggs. Their eggs aren't as dark as the Cuckoo Marans, but they are pretty.”
