Baby Chicks: Blue Easter Egger Female Reviews

We got our 8 girls about 3/10/2021, and they all arrived healthy and happy, here to Colorado! They are now almost 19 weeks old, and one of our girls has already started laying! A very pretty blue-green egg. Lucy, Ethel, Goldie Hen, Amelia Egghart, Dixie, Juniper, Eunice and Nugget are all hilarious to watch and have such great personalities! They aren't really snuggly, but aren't really skiddish either, this is probably because we didn't handle them as frequently as we should have when they were babies. They are all around a great joy and we love them all to bits! It has been a great experience for our 2 young children as well (ages 3 and 5), they are even more excited now that they get to "hunt" for eggs each afternoon! My only regret was not getting a few other chicken "breeds" so we had a more colorful flock, but I love the stunning steely-grey coloring of our girls and have no complaints! I can't wait to convince my husband we need more! ;)

Tomorrow our little BEE will be one week old. She is an absolute delight. She jumps into my hand - so tame already - we named her Queenie.

"Muffy" is now about 9 months old, as sweet and curious and smart as they come. I just LOVE this bird!! recently she became broody and 'adopted' and hatched out some fertilized eggs (that were not hers). She is an amazing mama to the chikcs too. I adore this doll of a bird! Easily my favorite in the whole flock.

All birds safely arrived. Each one is a beauty and thriving. Itty Bitty is my fav. She’s a Partridge Olive Egger with a mohawk that loves to fly up onto my shoulder! I love My Pet Chicken. Great customer service, too!

Our two girls arrived safely with their 6 “sisters” of other breeds. They are a little over a week old and full of personality. June loves to perch on our hand and enjoys interaction. Her sister Dolly is great at catching insects (daddy long legs) that make their way to their indoor enclosure. When one of them catches a bug it’s like a chicken stampede going on in there and they all start flipping out because someone caught a delicious bug.

Would have given 5, but molt period was long. Pretty green large eggs almost daily. Not low or high on pecking order. Flighty, but not extremely. I miss my girl. Laid good for 2yrs. Pretty, all medium gray in color.

We have raised 5 or 6 batches of chicks and I have never seen a friendlier little chick than the Blue Easter Egger we received. We joke that she is crossed with a parrot. This Blue Easter Egger prefers to be with people over the flock of 8 chicks. When we go visit the brooder...she will immediately jump onto our arm or shoulder. This was a last minute edition, but glad we added her to our order. It will be interesting to watch her grow and see what sort of egg layer she is. Is she crossed w a parrot?
