“My blue easter egger is my favorite out of the 4 hens I received from my pet chicken. My daughter has picked the golden buff as her favorite. The blue easter egger is now 2 weeks old and is the prettiest blue gray and will sit in your hand all day if you let her. She calls for us when we turn off the light and leave them alone to sleep for the night. Its too early to tell how well she'll lay but just fro her personality, she is the sweetest thing and I am so glad I got her.”
“Our blue easter egger named Chichi arrived perfectly healthy with her three bantam and standard siblings. Thanks MPC! She‚Äôs adorable and already taming down and taking well to handling. I can only imagine what a doll she‚Äôll grow up to be!”
“Wow! These Blue Easter Eggers did not disappoint! They are 11 months old now and have absolutely beautiful coloring, both feathers and green eggs. I love their docile, inquisitive and sweet temperaments, they are low key, love to eat greens while sitting on our laps, come when they‚Äôre called and all around one of the best breeds I‚Äôve had yet. I just introduced a couple new Ameraucanas to the flock and these Blue Easter Eggers never even put up much of a stink about it. At this time, the eggs are medium sized and a pastel green color and I definitely will be ordering more girls next spring. I wish I could post photos on this site, you should see how pretty these girls are as both chicks and pullets; they‚Äôre actually prettier than Ameraucanas.”
“We ordered some chicks, and this Easter Egger chick is the sweetest one. It is so mellow, it almost melts in your hand when you pick it up. It will jump right into my son's lap and fall asleep. It is really friendly! I hope it stays this way. It also has the cutest puffy cheeks.”
“I've had our Blue Easter Egger for a year now. She was the first of our 7 to start laying (a month before the others at around 20 weeks) and she's laid most every day since, including the winter when we gave them some supplemental light. She free ranges for half the day, but the only thing we give her to eat is her layer feed to make sure she has the nutrients she needs. I think that's one reason she's so productive. But still compared to our other girls on the same diet she's much more reliable. I'm actually kind of surprised that she doesn't take a break more often. The eggs are a lovely light sage color. She's the boss in our mixed flock. But she is a benevolent dictator. She also talks the most and the loudest. She's very cautious around humans, but she tolerates us.”
“I have two of the EE hens that are now twelve weeks old. One gives me no problem, well except it looks like a rooster and is suppose to be a hen :) The other is always attacking my New Hamster hens, same age. She is on restriction a lot ... beautiful hen but Mean girl!”
“I love the egg color Mint Cheep, my blue easter egger, lays. But she goes broody a lot (twice a year or so) and stays broody for over a month each time. So she doesn't lay a lot of eggs per year. They're also not very big eggs. I'd call them a medium size. She pecks a lot at your hand and arm when you're trying to get eggs out from under her. But she's a good-looking bird, and as I said, I love the color of her eggs!”
“We ordered two easter eggers in March 2018 (they just started laying). Of the 15 birds we ordered these two are the best girls, always friendly, very fluffy with feathers on their feet and beautiful grey coloring. Writing this review because I was just in the yard and felt very grateful that these two sweeties are part of our flock and wanted to sing their praises.”
