Our polish is about 1.5 years old now. Out of a flock of 30, she is one of our absolute favorites!! We got lucky & she's a great layer, & she has absolutely no problems being pet or picked up. I just LOVE her! She is lower in the pecking order, but she's toughened up & when we integrated another group of pullets into our flock, she let them know that she has no interest in being at the bottom anymore! She is such a fun bird, I cannot recommend this breed enough!!

I received my 5 chicks yesterday afternoon (1 buff laced Polish, 2 white crested Polish and 2 black silkies). I opened the box and all the little chicks were huddled together but one. She was standing as tall as she could looking up at me chirping and was way bigger than the other 4 chicks. I laughed and named her Goldie. All the chicks are thriving so far and Goldie comes running at me when I put my face down by the brooder to peer in. I can pick her up‚Äîshe doesn‚Äôt run.. just a brave little gal.she‚Äôs only 2-1/2 days old and already a character. ❤Ô∏è Can‚Äôt wait to see her grow up!

I’m so glad I bought my buff laced polish pullet!! She is an absolute joy and entertaining to watch. She does so good with handling as shes my 5 year olds favorite out of the flock! Her personality and her big feather hair poof makes her the family favorite!! Although she does struggle to get treats due to her limited vision with her feathers in her face as her flock mates steal the treats before she gets them, so we have to separate her for a bit so she can get some treats but she’s totally fine in the flock otherwise!!!

My buff laced polish, Alexis is such a fun bird. She is beautiful and so quirky! She just started laying a pretty little white egg. I get so many compliments in her. A favorite of my flock for sure!

Phyllis now two years old and is full of personality and spunk, but she isn't a bossy jerk. She follows me along the run and chases the dog along the run as well when he comes by like a punk to bug the chickens. Her crest is kind of messy, not super round like the photo, and she does not have a beard. She has beautiful slate grey legs. It's supposed to be a gamble with polish and egg laying, but the quirky looks of the breed made me take the gamble and I'm glad I did! She lays 6 medium sized white eggs a week, which is more than any other bird I have! I will definitely add more polish to my flock in the future!
