"The Bungalow" Chicken Coop Reviews

3.9 Rating 181 Reviews
The size of the coop is great for my 6 hens. However, the material is cheap. The bar to open and close the top door to get eggs bent the 2nd time closing it. And what is very disappointing and frustrating is the bottom drawer to clean the coop. The piece of wood that the drawer "slides on" is so thin, the drawer just falls out. Not happy with the product.

Some of the holes are not pre-drilled, make sure to drill a small pilot hole or the wood may split. We coated our's with Thompson's Water seal. We don't have our chickens yet, so we don't know how well it functions.

It only has the looks. Made in China. Very poor quality wood, very flimsy and will not withstand any weather conditions. Needs revarnishing too. Craftsmanship also very poor. Because it will not withstand any weather conditions I have to only use it indoors and had to buy another one for outside.

The Bungalow was delivered quickly. Assembly was pretty simple. Tools were included and several panels were pre-assembled. It was just a matter of screwing the panels together. I'm sure our hens will enjoy...

This coop is okay, it went together fast and was not difficult. There are some areas we will have to fix and add better latches. The wood is thin and not something I would recommend in an area with large predators. A Bear could easily open this up. Ours will be inside a dog run we are turning into a chicken run so will work until we build a more sturdy coop.
