“I bought 2 BCMs this April (Mocha and Java). They are beautiful, and sweet pets. Assertive, but not bullies in the flock. A tad disappointed their eggs are not as dark as I expected; however, the quality of their eggs are great - thick shells and orange yolks.”

“Kylo Hen is a psychopath. She always has been. Maybe it‚Äôs the name. Maybe it‚Äôs because her other two brooder-mates got re-homed due to being a rooster or an even bigger psychopath. She‚Äôs not mean, she just doesn‚Äôt like people. But she‚Äôs able to move back and forth between the other chicken cliques without a problem. She‚Äôs smart - and look wise she‚Äôs stunning. She‚Äôs a really good layer of medium-dark reddish brown eggs with dark spots. I get about 5-6 medium sized eggs per week. I will absolutely get more in the future.”
“Our BCM hen (I wish I had more, but there was a very cockerel heavy hatch and my 6 pullets weren't there) is a mighty mouse. She's smaller than most of my hens but lays a dark large to extra large egg on a regular basis and is as sweet as can be.”
“The baby chicks came yesterday 6/4/19 wrapped in a solid container with nesting material at the bottom and a warm pack. The post office was great and delivered with my instructions. The chicks were beautiful - the most beautiful chicks I have ever seen (in my limited experience) I ordered 3 females- one seems a little more dominant- hopefully not a rooster. They were so beautiful healthy active and in better shape than I have seen in some stores. They ate and drank within 5-10 min of being introduced to food They drank a lot - not sure if this happens in transport. I bought three because it was the min shipment but they are so cute, I am not sure if I can part with any, plus they like each other. So happy with these healthy beautiful chicks! Can't wait for the chocolate colored eggs!”
“I received my Black Copper Maran chicks in May and June 2018 and am very happy with their egg color! It's not the darkest I've seen, but is still very dark! I just wish this site had the chicks available more often, because I would definitely like to buy more. I am very happy with this site and only order my chicks from here!”
“Bought these chicks spring 2018. They showed up in great condition and all survived.which was awesome The low rating for is the color of the eggs from this line. Unfortunately i was super dissapointed when these girls starting laying the egg color (the reason i purchased this breed) was not the rich chocolate brown you expect from a black copper maran. The eggs color from all of my girls is near a welsummer colored egg. Super dissapointed it is now 7+months later and still not good color, has to be the genetics or what the ones i received were breed to.”
“Zuri is a sweet little girl! Great black color, copper neck feathers, and best of all, she gave me the most lovely dark reddish brown eggs starting this week! I didn't expect them so soon, she's only about 5.5 months old and it is winter! But they are just gorgeous, darker than I expected. Another bonus: she is very watchful and is one of the first to find any potential danger (where we are it is hawks) and alerts to tell the others to hide. She isn't loud otherwise though. Very calm and a good member of the flock.”
