Ordered my first BCM from MPC with 2 other chicks, all made it healthy and alive. They are all happy and sunny and now 3 weeks old. I ordered 3vfemales, but turned out my BCM is a rooster. A slightly unexpected surprise. We were wanting a rooster later down the road, but he his very sweet and attentive to the other chicks already! He will make a great addition to the flock.

She's a strong, independent and beautiful chick - 6 weeks today. She is not quite as keen to be held or as friendly as our other two (a lavender dream and a green queen) but will let us pick her up if necessary. She's got a lot of spunk!

It's always fun to see their personalities develop! I've noticed my Black Copper Marans are very independent little ladies but very curious. Thank you for your feedback! Enjoy your little lady.

Ordered 3 females & were hatched & shipped to us just 3 months ago. One wound up being a rooster, but I'm tender-hearted and hoping he'll keep our hens safe. All are doing very well & for 3 months old are healthy & getting along well with our older hens.

We are happy to hear about how wonderful your black copper marans are doing but were so very sorry to read of a sexing error on your order! We offer a live bird sexing error guarantee and we will refund you for any bird that has been incorrectly sexed, provided we are notified within the appropriate time frames. For breeds except silkies, that is between 14 to 22 weeks of the original ship date. Silkies take a bit longer to mature so they get a few more weeks and have until 19-30 from their ship date. We have reached out to you directly about your sexing error. Again, we are sorry for this error!
