Baby Chicks: Blue Laced Red Wyandotte Female Reviews

4.7 Rating 50 Reviews
I've had people mistake my Blue Laced Red from MPC for a private breeder's wyandotte, I've seen complaints that 'hatchery' blue laced are washed out and not blue, I have one that is blue and one that is splash laced and the blue is DEEP blue, and the red isn't washed out either it's a striking combination!! It took a while for the colors to really show all over their bodies but they are just really nice birds, very heart shaped bodies, bold but not the top of my flocks pecking order, just right in the middle of the group. It's December and Im pretty sure these girls are one of the few still laying the occasional egg for me too. I really want to add a few more, they're so pretty especially in the sunlight!

Thank you Clare! What wonderful feedback. The coloring of the mature Blue Laced Red Wyandotte is sure worth the wait!

A beautiful chick, I only ordered one of these and was most excited to see her. Upon arrival she was the largest out of 10. Was doing very well up until about 1hr ago she fell over and closed her eyes but continued breathing for another 30 min before she was gone. First chick I’ve lost out of 45 I’ve ordered, very sad. I hate that I can’t ship 2-3 more of these girls. To fill her spot in the flock.

This is our Lily. I am particularly fond of Wyandottes, so this was a natural fit for me. She's pretty protective of the flock. At 3 weeks now, she's pretty friendly and once you can get her enjoys nesting in your hand or near us. If she's anything like the Wyandotte's I've had before, I'm sure she'll make an excellent mother.

I have always trusted My Pet Chicken, and the chicks I received today just cement that trust. Two Blue Laced Red Wyandottes, two olive eggers, and two Favaucanas. All chicks arrived cheerful and healthy, no pasty butt. I gave them a little sugar water when I put them in the brooder, but they are all already exploring and bopping around, seemingly unstressed by their cross country journey. I can’t wait to watch them grow!

This bird is beautiful. She's independent and doesn't like to be touched, but she fits into the flock with no issues.

These chicks are so cute. They were a little exhausted from their trip but after a few days settling into their brooder with hydration, food and venturing about, these sweeties are happy as can be. Very happy and healthy babies!
