“I bought these plans before I bought my chickens so I could have it built. My father is a woodworker, so he bought everything off the supply list, but as he started reading through the instructions, he noticed that there were items missing from the supply list. And the instructions in places missed steps.
I have now used this coop and it has issues. The pivoting arms to raise and lower the wheels would pop off the pegs. They've both broken off, rendering the "tractor" capability void. We now physically pick this coop up, put it in the back of our ATV and move it.
To access this coop, we have to remove the roof panels to do food and water. So that's incredibly inconvenient, though we've gotten used to it.
Overall, I don't think I would recommend these plans if you're looking to build a tractor. If you don't mind a coop that you want to move by physically picking it up and shifting it around, then this coop will probably work for you.”
