“For a really colorful basket, I have a completely mixed flock of about 30 hens. So, I have a descent sense of chicken personality. My 5 month old pullet (named "Splash") is the sweetest chicken! Of all the chicks I've raised, Splash is in the most calm and cuddly. She also has very big eyes which makes her look cute. I'm anxious to see how her eggs turn out. I would highly recommend this breed for a child's pet - knows her name, comes to you (versus running away), never pecks, likes to be held and is very soft.”
