“My 2 Blue Splash Maran females arrived happy and healthy and were instant favorites. One has feathered legs and one has clean legs. Both beautiful and so friendly! They are now 5 months old and both laying small dark brown eggs. They are quite talkative in the morning and very good free range foragers. I would definitely recommend this breed.”

“Our 2 Splash Maran girls are the sweetest. 1 has feathered legs. Both arrived healthy and, at 14 weeks old, are still thriving. (They are also mine and their dad's favorite of the bunch). Ethel, my feathered legged girl, is very calm and just enjoys laying around by herself. Gertrude, my clean legged girl, is very friendly and follows me around. They haven't started laying yet so I can't comment on the egg production however, i will say if you are contemplating purchasing this breed, DO IT! I want more of these girls for their sweet personalities alone.”

“Our Blue Splash Maran (Dottie) is absolutely beautiful! She is friendly and docile. She started laying at 22 weeks and gives us five medium golden brown color eggs with dark speckles each week. She is low in the pecking order probably because she is so sweet and passive, but she is a big girl and very healthy. I definitely recommend this breed.”
