“The medium apron was the right size for my australorp hen. She only protested briefly and then settled into wearing it. The apron was a bit stiff at first, but molded to her shape within a few days. Before the apron she had lost a lot of feathers to her sisters and had an angry red, bald spot on her back. I had ordered another apron and that one had fabric covered elastics for under her wings. This one has thin, uncovered elastics which probably won't last very long, which is why not 5 stars. Other downside is that now that they can't get to her back, they ripped out all of her tail feathers. At least her skin is not damaged.”
“My chicken never got to strut her stuff in the well made apron because the topical solution that I bought for her worked wonders. The apron was a backup in case it was needed. Between the topical solution and the apron I will never have to see one of my girls suffer the humiliation of having a naked back.
