I like this coop but would not put more than three birds unless you add a run. I bought one additional run for my three reds and it seems good. Easy to put together and sturdy. I also put weather proof stain on it...three coats to waterproof it. Probably do this every year.

Nice coop, well built and easy to assemble, took about 45 minutes

This coop is good, but it has some caveats: - It's still pretty small. I would not put more than one chicken in here if they don't also have a place where they can roam. If you're letting your chickens into a larger space during the day or have a couple more runs, it's probably ok for multiple chickens. - The nesting box was not big enough for our biggest chicken. Granted she was a pretty big chicken (at least 50% bigger than our Leghorn.) - It is NOT rat proof out of the box. We got this coop because our eggloo was a rat haven (they could go right through the wire mesh). So I installed this coop, burring 3 layers of chicken wire 5 inches under ground. Rats still got in. The corners, where the roof meets the walls have a small opening, where critters can still slip in and out. I wrapped these spaces in chicken wire, and now we're good. - The wood is really soft. Make sure you pre-drill, where needed, and don't over tighten screws or they will split the wood or come loose.

I put the coop together by myself in a couple hours. The directions are not the best but you get the general idea. I put a waterproof stain on it to make it last longer. My only complaint is that I had the wood split in a couple places. I'm going to do my best to work around this. Other than that, my chicks like it. I bought an extra run which I haven't yet attached.

The coop is cute and the chickens really like it but the time given for assembly didn't seem realistic. It's a 2-person job and it took my son, who is a gifted truck and heavy equipment mechanic a full 2 hours to assemble.

Really cute coop. I have 3 chickens which I think is max for it. Would be easier to clean out if there was another door or some type of opening on the end away from the one lower door.
