“Got this for our four baby chicks two months ago. Was easy to put together. I did it with my six year old grandson. They seem to have no problem going and sleeping together every night. We let them out to roam free in our yard during the day. I don‚Äôt believe four grown chickens have enough space to be in it 24/7 if that‚Äôs the plan”
“I am just starting my flock and this website sounded like they had really thought of everything to help me get my new chickens settled. Unfortunately, the coop has not been a good purchase. I sealed it as recommended, but after a couple days of rain two of the slats on the roof have completely fallen off! Also, the description indicated that one could place the feeder and waterer under the coop. While the coop is tall enough, one cannot reach them from the door. I have also found my hens huddling in the corner if I leave the door open at night because the door makes it drafty on the roosting bars. Delivery was prompt and it was not hard to put together, however the wood is very soft.”
My Pet Chicken appreciates every customer's review and sharing of experiences as they are helpful in our continued efforts to make each purchase the best we are able for every flock keeper. Since the time of this review, My Pet Chicken no longer recommends putting a hanging feeder and/or waterer underneath the coop. If there are ever any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us before you purchase and we are happy to help!
“Awesome coop! It is sturdy and looks great. It was fairly easy to put together in a couple hours. I can‚Äôt wait to move it outside and put my chickens in it.”
“The Clubhouse is.... okay. I mean, look. The dimensions are clearly written out and I did measure my space before ordering this coop. But I'm a brand new chicken owner so when the website says "fits 4 chickens" I assume that's accurate. But no way would I leave my girls in here for longer than absolutely necessary. I always intended to let them free range in my yard, so it's not like they'd be cooped (get it, cooped?) in here for long, but now I'm stressed about the idea of 4 big chickens stuck in this small space. I definitely wished I'd done more research and ordered something a little bigger because I will eventually sell this one and order something else. But, like I said, I'm a n00b so might as well use this for as long as I can.
The coop also came with 4-5 deep gauges in the wood, even before I put it together. And while it was easy enough to put together, the act of doing so left even more marks. So not the highest quality either. I plan on sealing it but who knows if it will even last more than a season.”
“Good coop! I haven‚Äôt actually used it yet because my chicks are still in the brooder but it was easy to assemble and it seem like it will be fairly easy to clean and care for. I painted it to match my house so it‚Äôs super cute now too!! Photo is clubhouse with an extra run.”
“Very thin roof. Screws and locks work but are not made for any kind of long term durability.
Beautifully designed. Looks fantastic and is very functional. However, I will need to make another, outer enclosure so as I can protect the flock.
One panel in the roof above roosts, had screws strip out after two weeks. Thus, top cap for roof does not sit flush and NEEDS new roofing cap that will NEED liquid nails to secure it bec the wood is so thin it will crack trying to repair the panel and top cap.
Handles (2 on each end) could be an added bonus for portability if anyone is looking to use as a chicken tractor.”
