"The Clubhouse" Chicken Coop w/Run No Thanks Reviews

4.1 Rating 209 Reviews
This coop is great. I ordered an extra run so the girls would have plenty of room. It did take a lot longer to build than what the instructions said, but it came together great. I know that they are safe from predators in there.

Love the design! Pleasant to look at...fairly easy to assemble with two people. The material is very thin...I put a clear coat varnish on it to help it last longer but I’m not sure how it’ll hold up. I also put it up on cinder blocks so the frame doesn’t sit on the ground and rot faster. The coop is easy to clean- nice pull out poop tray. The run area under the coop is very difficult to clean until you are a small child who can squeeze in there... I have three pullets and it is the perfect size for them. I purchased the add-on run and they enjoy it. I let them free range a 1/2 hour a day so they also get some time to run around. The add on run is very necessary, in my opinion. Overall I am pleased with this coop. If we continue to raise chickens, I’ll probably need to upgrade it in a couple years. Great for beginners though!!

First chicken coop like the design, easy to assemble by myself. I did not use the wire on floor after speaking to many chicken owners. I also weather protected it to hopefully make the wood last longer.

Structurally, this little coop has been fine for 6 monthly now. Honestly, I would recommend no more than 3 in this coop. I have 4 and I added an additional roosting bar. The biggest issue with the coop is that the roost bars are right next to the nesting boxes and when they sleep their butts hang over into the boxes and that’s where they will poop. Most hens are picky about where they nest and don’t want to sit and lay eggs in poop. Mine now want to lay eggs in all of my flower beds rather than in their coop.

Very Easy to assemble. I was able to construct it and place it in the final location. Light weight materials, but extremely sturdy when construction is complete. I have 3 hens and had to add the extra Run. I recommend to just order extra with coup if chickens will stay in it most of the day. Coup and nesting boxes is big enough for 3 hens.

This definitely needs lots of reinforcement if you have any kind of predators around. Big chucks of a few end pieces broke off during shipping - it’s super soft like balsam wood. I was really too hopeful this was going to be better and should have trusted my instincts but needed a coop quickly.
