“I got this ahead of getting my chicks which come in about ten days. I plugged it in. I noticed it does take longer than an hour for it to heat up. I think it really takes at least two to three hours for it to get to its full temperature. I do like that I can adjust the height, but can't comment on how it works with the chicks as I stated above, mine won't be here until around March 8th. But, I think it will work fine. I do have a night light set up so they will be able to find the heat plate in the dark.”
“I like the size and ease of adjusting the height. I haven't used it yet as my chick's won't arrive until June. I will update at that time. It did arrive in a reasonable amount of time and was happy with its protective packaging.”
