“I have one silver cuckoo marans from My Pet Chicken who is now about four years old. She has such a nice, calm temperament and makes the BEST mother. Hands down the best broody mama of my flock. Absolutely a determined mother, if she goes broody the only solution seems to be giving her chicks (maybe that's a con).
When she's not trying to raise chicks, she is pretty consistent about laying eggs and is overall a very healthy bird.”
