Baby Chicks: Cream Legbar Female Reviews

4.5 Rating 107 Reviews
I was nervous that I she was NOT a Cream Legbar. She has no crest! She's looks very tailored - not as scruffy as the girls in the picture above. ;) She does have the same colored plumage as the breed models above. She is very gentle and quiet and calm. She doesn't get beat up and doesn't beat anyone up. She's about perfect. Last week she laid her first turquoise egg! She laid 4 in a week (1 was soft-shelled). Even her first egg was bigger than my Wyandotts and Cochin's eggs. The ISA and her have the same sized egg - big. The color is gorgeous! It's actually much prettier than the 3 eggs pictured above. She's wonderful!

What fun, beautiful birds! Ordered 2 hens, one has a HUGE feathered “hat” and the other has a little black one like the above photo. They are both friendly and one has already started laying the most gorgeous blue eggs at 21 weeks (in January in MA)!

She is such a tiny lil chipmunk! I can see a flightiness and alertness to her temperament. Her coloring around her eyes is like no other chicks I’ve had before. Can’t wait to see what she looks like all grown up!

I love my little Cream Legbar, but she was our slowest to start laying and still isn't consistent at 9 months old. When she lays, her eggs are a very nice, pure light blue that look great in the egg basket. She is friendly and easy to pick up, though also feisty and suspicious. Every now and then she'll attack me if I do something to startle her, but I just pick her up and make her settle down :)
