She’s adorable…we named her SWEETS…due to her being so sweet and social…She is 11 days old. Growing like a weed, healthy and well. I opted to vaccinate all the chicks, and gave them all Meyers grow gel, and use Kruses super chick medicated started feed.

This is the 3rd or 4th purchase we’ve made with MPC. All 8 chicks arrived in excellent health and are growing like crazy. We had a minor delay in the shipping date, but their customer service was in communication and beyond helpful. They are always friendly and supportive. If we can’t get chicks from MPC we’re not getting them. Always a positive experience.

We got Tiny with 5 of her sisters Spring of 2020. She is beautiful, loves to fly, and so chatty. However, she started to lay in the nesting box like her sisters but never had any eggs. Would make the egg call and everything. She started growing and growing so we took her to the avian vet. She had 12 soft shelled eggs backed up in her and a ruptured oviduct leading to the insertion of a hormone implant so she would stop inside laying. She gets them about 1x a year when she starts to show signs of laying again. HOWEVER! This spring, we found a very small, almost white egg in the nesting box before her vet appt. Then a few days later, another. Tiny had healed her oviduct and laid her first set of eggs. She’s our miracle chicken and my favorite of the flock. She now lays an egg almost every day.

Chick date was spring 2021. Writing this review august 2022. Ordered two of these beautiful birds. One was very weak. If I had a job out of my home, or was new to chickens, there is no way it would have lived. Hours spent nursing it back to health saved it. Only to discover here we are 18 months (roughly) later and I get 1 egg combined from the two daily. They have only once weighed medium (we weigh daily to keep records and for sales). All other eggs have been peewee or small using the usda scale. One has now grown spurs and the color is changing to mostly black.

My exchequer Cardi used to be an absolutely stunning hen! After her first molt her feathers came In plain white. They’ve been white ever since. Can’t tell the difference between her and my plain leghorn Pearl. Except that Cardi lays little tiny white eggs very sporadically, whereas Pearl the leghorn lays giant off white eggs almost daily. Cardi is a Quirky lady who never puts herself to bed. Every evening I come out to find her sitting on the stall door waiting to be hand delivered to her roost (I put my hand out and she steps right on). I wouldn’t waste the additional money on an exchequer unless a super funny personality is worth it to you
