“I ordered 12 eggs and received 14. Only 3 hatched but they are perfect. All 3 look to be a different type so far. My one complaint is it seems my eggs shipped the Saturday before Memorial Day and I wasn‚Äôt able to pick them up until Tuesday morning. My incubator was kept perfect so I feel my hatch rate may be because of the wait at the post office. I did not receive any tracking information until after I had picked them up from my post office.”
“I ordered 3 and was given 4 and out of those four, three of them hatched into cute and healthy little chicks. I can‚Äôt yet tell their breeds/types but they are all Bantams that I got (which I request) and I‚Äôm super happy with them. I‚Äôd also like to note that I got them specifically for a broody hen I had and she did an awesome job incubating them and now raising these babies. Can‚Äôt wait to see how they develop and what they look like as adults.”
“I got my order in December, of fun and funky babies. I requested that I DO get a turken/ naked neck- to which I ended up with the most beautiful fluffy yellow naked neck. I wish I could upload a photo. I ended up with an extra egg. I had a 25% hatch rate with only one of four hatching. Two were infertie and one a quitter. But I was having a humidity issue that I wasn‚Äôt aware of at the time with my incubator. BUT despite my incubator malfunction, and despite the fact these chicks shipped the first week of Jan in the bitter cold, I had a 100% hatch rate with my three mystery chicks. I got a big blue baby that I believe to be a favacauna, a stunning yellow- very fluffy baby with feathered feet but doesn‚Äôt seem to be batam (I mean lots of fluff. Super cute) and I had one malpositioned little chick that had a hell of a time and a 48 hours+ hatch that ended up being a full assist. When the chick first hatched there was an issue with the leg as the foot was under the beak and stuck out with the beak at pip on the wrong end. It didn‚Äôt look good BUT i am proud to tell you that this one ended up the sweetest little chick with feathered feet and legs, also seemingly a large fowl chick. I am leaning towards blue Cochin. Maybe a Cochin cross. Either way, the personality on these chicks is darling. All four are as cute as they are sweet. Concurrently, I had other eggs in the bator with them- to which I didn‚Äôt get more than a 25% hatch rate on so all things considered I am super happy being my mystery chicks were 100% hatch rate. Very rare with shipped eggs. If I had a 30-50% with shipped eggs I‚Äôd be happy. But 100% meets and exceeds my expectations. You can see them online at Instagram under native.colors.exotics.turkeys with #mysterychick”
“We ordered 9 eggs in July and added 3 mystery eggs for a total of 12 eggs! Out of the 9 fun and funky babies, 5 hatched! We received 3 frizzled easter eggers (so adorable but one was a rooster who had to be given away) and 1 white polish x serama rooster (we sadly had to give away) and 1 white with brown polish x silkie baby! Out of the 3 mystery eggs, 1 hatched in day 18! She is a black favacauna and hatched from the largest, greenest egg i‚Äôve ever seen! She is the sweetest too! Possibly ordering more eggs now... THANK YOU MPC!”
“We ordered 6 Fun and funky and 3 mystery and received a free egg.
5 out of the 10 eggs we got even didn't develop/ wasn't fertile. Now we on waiting on the hatching stage for the other 5, and thats the only reason why I'm giving 3 stars. Hopefully they have a healthy hatch. Thanks.”
“This was the first time I've attempted to purchase eggs for a broody hen. All the eggs came packaged individually in bubble wrap which was impressive. They even threw in an extra egg for purchasing six. I gave Lola 10 eggs to sit on of which 2 got busted and 2 didn't hatch. So I'm excited to report that 6 babies hatched and I ended up with 5 hens and 1 rooster. I got lucky!”
“This was my first time incubating hatching eggs and it was almost a complete disaster. First, the post office failed to hold my eggs and delivered them tied shut in a plastic bag in a terrible storm. Then, despite setting up and testing the incubator in advance, the heating element would not maintain a consistent temperature after the first week (it would suddenly dip down 3-4 degrees) so we tried to put the eggs under two broody hens - both of which decided they were no longer interested in hatching babies 6 hours later! So back into the faulty incubator the eggs went. Of the 4 eggs received, 1 was not fertilized, 2 made it to lockdown but did not hatch (I blame the incubator and was surprised they made it this far), and 1 literally kicked her way out on day 23 and is now a healthy chick. Our little Miyagi truly beat the odds! Looking forward to purchasing more eggs and a new incubator so we can try again!”
