Snap Lock Formex Chicken Coop, Large White (Up to 8 Chickens)/No Accessories Reviews

Wow, i finally bought something I don't need a child to put together. LOL, us two adults did just fine without the help. It was simple to figure out the (mostly pictures) instructions and all that was needed was a flat head screwdriver to help slip some of the pieces in place. I'm very impressed with the size and easy cleaning access. I bought this coop for 5 White Crested Black Polish Hens. They are just turning 2 months young and have been outside for day excursions due to the weather and age. In another week they will be outside fulltime. We put the coop up on 4 milk boxes for the time being. Some people might be able to make the stand that directions are provided, but we are not hammer friendly. This is why we bought a Formex. I have the coop under a trellis for shade in the summer. I will see if it needs a heating device in the winter. Here in my area of Sheepshead Bay we have feral cat colonies, possum, raccoon, hawks, falcons and even thieving squirrels to worry about. I don't foresee any critters eating through 2 layers of plastic material. So this seems safe and if I order the automatic door...well, won't that be a lazy morning for me! That getting up with the sound of the crowing is something I can do without. ;-) I am so looking forward to fresh eggs, possibly by July 4th! New to me and learning as I go that I was so worried about every little thing being perfect. My 94 year young Mom said, Clare, they're chickens! They will adapt". Probably truer words never said. At least they won't have to adapt to a shabby coop. lol Thanks for making loving my girls easy.

This thing is made of the cheapest materials you can imagine. Thin and cheap plastic, like a milk jug, and the latch is so flimsy the door will pop open from a stiff breeze. It will do in a pinch but if your looking for something permanent don't waste your money.

Great little coop. Well made and very clever how it fits together. We bought it as a temporary coop to use for a few months. As others have said this is really to be used as a sleeping coop - birds will need outdoor space during the day. But for that use it is really great.

This coop was worth every penny. The shipping was so fast! My ladies warmed up to this new coop quick. It's beautiful and was super easy to put together. With three people, it took less than 30 seconds per instruction step. Light and easy to move around. Can't recommend this coop enough. Looks like it will stand up to weather forever.
