“We have had this coop for 3 years now and we are very pleased with it. We started out with five hens but wanted to add 3 the next year. I had to buy a minimum of 6 at tractor supply but a friend wanted 3 chicks so I thought "no problem." Unfortunately I had to take the three back and I thought for sure we would have a problem with space but not so! Once reintegrated, the hens were happy together. They only use the coop for laying and sleeping because we have a large protected run, where I keep their feed and water, so that definitely makes a difference. We live in New England so we added more light by way of a window in the roof and a small light on a timer inside. Also, have an automatic door and I highly recommend that- it's a huge convenience!”
“Only took about an hour to assemble, I was in no hurry. I had previously built the stand so I was ready for it. Everything fit well and instructions were good. Our chickens are still getting used to it but I think they will take to it pretty quickly. Seems pretty sturdy so I expect we will get years of use from it. The only improvement that could be made is the addition of something to hold the three roof sections open while cleaning.”
“We have a "night" coop for our chickens, and use these as our "laying coops".. They are fantastic ! Keeps the eggs nice and clean..We bought two of them, and will be buying another one this Spring. After we collect the eggs, we shut the doors, and open the "night" coop. When we let the hens out in the mornings, we open the "laying coops", and shut the "night coop" doors.. So easy to keep clean !”
