Snap Lock Formex Chicken Coop, Large White (Up to 8 Chickens)/No Accessories Reviews

4.6 Rating 360 Reviews
It wasn’t as easy to put together as some reviews suggested. Some of the pieces wouldn’t line up I had to cut part of one of the notches under the roof to get it to fit there are 3 notches on each roof panel and one piece had 2 that lined up and one that didn’t. Also the door that you are supposed to be able to take in and out to remove the poop trays barely fit and had to be forced and the hardware didn’t line up so it can’t be locked but it’s in there so tight I will never be able to remove the trays I will just have to wood chips and let it break down to compost. If everything would have lined up correctly it would have been great I love the coop now that it’s together it took 3 hours to complete because of the issues

Overall I liked it very much, especially the ease in putting it together. However, I think the stand is a little flimsy and not substantial enough. For the price you could make the stand sturdier.

We are so glad to hear that you like your SnapLock Coop! They are one of our best sellers because of their durability and easiness to clean. Thank you for the feedback on the stand as well, we will pass that along to the manufacturer.

The coop is large as stated. It’s a little difficult to snap the top onto the bottom.

This is a very simple coop to put together, and the birds seem to appreciate it. The little awning doesn't fit into the provided spaces and the carabiners are not at all sturdy, but those aren't fundamental elements, and overall we are satisfied with it. I'm not sure the size of it justifies the cost, but I think it will hold up better than all of the awful wooden ones out there, so hopefully will earn its investment...

It arrived quick and my husband and I snapped it all together in 15 minutes! The chickens love it. Not sure if I can use a heat lamp in it this winter, however, .... will the plastic melt??

We are first time chicken owners and did a lot of research on coops (not handy enough to build our own). We decided on this one and it is great! East to put together. My son built the stand for us with measurements provided and it was perfect. Our chickens seem to love it. Super easy to clean. A bit expensive, but totally worth the hassle-free convenience. We only have 4 chickens and there is plenty of room. I think 8 would be pushing it.... so maybe 6 max for chicken comfort.
