“The coop seems a little small for the $$$ and number of chickens the manufacturer states can fit in there -- but I should have looked more carefully at the measurements AND at the moment I have two young turkeys living in it also. It was SUPER easy to put together, and as far as keeping predators out I feel very confident that my birds are safe! It's definitely watertight too and has held up well in the recent windstorms we have had here! I love the perches (so do my birds). The automatic door opener is sooo expensive but would be such a nice addition in time...
My biggest constructive criticism for the designers would be that the pull-out litter trays and the front door should have been put both on the same side of the coop so it could be positioned against a wall and stay fully functional -- as it is if you back it up to the wall you can use the front door but have to move it against to get to the trays, and vice versa. It's so big/bulky that moving it once it's assembled is an issue for one person alone.”
“I've bought two of these large coops, and a third one in the smaller size. Assembly took less than an hour. I have 9 to 10 medium and large breed chickens in each of the large coops. There is so much roosting space that everyone fits at night with room to spare. My girls and their roos love these coops, and I love how easy they are to clean and sanitize. Plus they are completely predator proof, and made in the USA. I don't think I'll ever go back to wooden coops.”
“I own two of these and truly love them. Easy to put together, no concerns about insects or being unsanitary because of the non-porous material. It is lightweight, so moving it is not problem but if winds are an issue you may want to strap it down. It‚Äôs way too expensive for the size and what it is, but there‚Äôs nothing else remotely like it so I paid the price. Definitely feel comfortable saying it is predator proof, however the most recent one I bought came with carabiners that didn‚Äôt fit at all and we‚Äôre cheap to boot. Not a big deal, but it should come with proper accessories for such a high price.”
“Arrived quickly, easily assembled by me alone in about an hour, sturdy. Not super large, but fits my flock of 5 girls comfortably. Water tight, easy to clean and built to last, unlike my large flimsy wood coop which fell apart in 5 years.”
“My baby chicks are very happy with their new home. Easy to assemble. A little difficult to reach in when you are short, but making it work. Very happy with this purchase hope it lasts for years.”
“Went together easily. Made the base per instructions from Formex. Have not used it yet.
The only knock on it is the carabiners are plastic and too large to easily use so I bought new metal ones.”
