“She is adorable and smaller than the rest.
I also love her little mowhauk, and she is gentle.
Will buy another two in the future. My granddaughter named her chipmunk, because as a chick she had markings that look like a chipmunk and is smaller than the rest.”
Your little girl sounds absolutely darling! We hope that she continues to bring you and your granddaughter much happiness! If you ever have any questions, please feel free to reach out to My Pet Chicken! We are happy to help!
“To start off with I ordered 19 chicks total, and I received 21 which was a wonderful surprise! They shipped March 25th, and arrived the very next morning for pick up. It’s been 2 weeks and all 21 are healthy and thriving. From the second I took them out of the shipping box I could tell these girls were on another level compared to the ones I’ve bought in the past from other places, and honestly, I’ll never get chicks from anywhere else. Out of the 19 chicks I got, 6 are rare assortment, 3 blue laced red Wyandotte, 2 bountiful blues, 2 partridge Olive egger, 3 lavender Ameraucana, 1 wheaten Marans, 1 blue copper Marans, and 1 jubilee Orpington. And lastly the 2 extras. I have a hard time telling who’s, who; besides the obvious ones like the lavenders lol. But one of my favorites, Pancake; has beautiful feathers already coming in and I’m 99% sure she is one of my partridge Olive Eggers. She is so sweet, and is always the first to great me (along with my wheaten Marans who’s name is Belle, and one of the mystery chicks who’s name is Sweet Potato.) Idc really what colored egg she lays in the future, her personality alone earns the partridge olive egger 5 stars for me. Even if she is the 1 in 16 that doesn’t lay green, she’s staying. It just gives me a reason to get more of these sweet girls.”
We are thrilled to hear how much you are loving your new baby chicks! The names you have picked out are absolutely adorable, especially "Sweet Potato!" We hope they bring you many years of joy and a beautiful, colored egg basket.
“I got the notification my chicks shipped Monday afternoon and Tuesday by 10am the post office called me to come get them. All of my chicks are happy, healthy and thriving! My first time ordering them and it has gone so well!”
“I ordered 4 babies (cream Legbar, Partridge Olive Egger, Green Queen Easter Egger and Golden Laced Polish) and they arrived healthy and strong the day after hatching. MPC was fantastic to work with. They allowed me to change my order a few times without any issues and spent lots of time with me on the phone helping me pick breeds based off my climate and preferences. They shipped on the Monday I chose and sent me tracking that evening. I was able to see they had arrived at the USPS Distribution center 20 min from on Tuesday morning, so instead of waiting for them to be transported to my local post office the following day I just drove over and intercepted them. They were packed perfectly and warm chirping away. It's been a week now and all of them are thriving! Hoping everything is correct with Sexing/breeds but I do trust a company like MPC to ensure customers get exactly what they asked for. I will absolutely order chicks through MPC again in the future.”
“Miss Edith was a sweet little sensy floof, the smallest of my flock of 6. She was an adorable little chipmunk chick with a line perfectly over her eye. She got pecked in the eye day 3 and she kept it shut for the first few weeks. Since then, she’s healed up well, but she still closes her eye out of nervousness when another lady gets too close. Her nickname is Popeye! But that doesn’t stop her if treats are involved, she is not afraid to push the other ladies out of the way! She has a beautiful mixed array of feathers, with gold around her neck, a reddish brown chest & wings, and a muted grey body. She has a little mohawk, a big bright red semi-floppy comb, & skinny like a road runner with a fluffy grey butt- definitely my funkiest chicken. My husband says every day that she is the prettiest lady in our flock! She just laid a beautiful light sage green egg and didn’t even have a peep to say about it! This whole time I thought my Olive egger Vera was laying, it was actually Edith my POE! Hatched 6/12 & started laying 10/31. POE layed a sage green & my Olive egger Vera layed a deep olive with speckles 11/5. So happy with these happy healthy ladies! Thank you MPC !!”
“Just three days old today (9/27) and my little pair, Peaches and Herb, are already growing, jumping on top of their brooder heater, climbing their stairs. No idea which one’s which yet as they look almost exactly alike. Beautiful chicks! Bursting with health. Great job, guys!”
