4.9 Rating 89 Reviews
My husband ordered 2 since they are such reliable egg layers and out of the 16 chicks we ordered these are definitely my favorite! They are the sweetest chicks that love to held and pet!!! They are 2 months old now and have the cutest personalities this will definitely be our go to when ordering more chicks next year!

I ordered seven but one passed. The other six of these girls are about three weeks old. There on the ground in the run and coop along with fourteen full grown quail. Two of the quail sleep in the coop with the chicks. The chicks are very active, love meal worms and are friendly although I have not put much effort to make them that way. Thanks again to My Pet Chicken.

I purchased a couple groups of this chicken. They are the most friendly, loving sweet natured chicken we have ever had. We love these birds. They will jump up and sit on my shoulder.. or up on the can when I am getting the feed out. They are easy going, get along well with the other chickens, start laying early, have big brown eggs and rarely miss a day. What else can I say. WONDERFUL. They are an egg laying machine. I have never had one go broody on me. They are just the best. Love them. Cheryl

We have been buying Golden Buffs for about 5 years or more. They are the best. They lay so regular and after the first molt, the eggs are so much bigger. I cannot fit a lot of them in the standard egg box. We have a horse business and our clients love our eggs.

I was worried this would be my “boring chicken” but she is the best! Pretty (much prettier than the picture!), friendly, quiet, and laid her first egg on her four month birthday! She had laid an egg every day since while the rest of the fancy colorful layers are still freeloaders. I love my little redhead!

I love my Golden Buffs and did not know much about them until reading this site and the great reviews. I have two in my small backyard flock and love them both dearly. Sophia and Goldie are just gorgeous and so nice. They are quiet friendly cooperative birds. They love to forage with my Speckled Sussex and Barred Rock hens. Great addition to any flock particularly backyard farmers that require a small hen for large brown eggs thereby reducing feed cost. I would most assuredly purchase again!

We have had 2, and Baby Fluffy and Doris are the sweetest, most curious girls. My kids carry them around, and they are gentle and tolerant of the attention. Great layers, too. I wish there were some available on our ship date this year. We adore them!

My red stars might not be as decorative as other chickens, but the ones I've had are the most curious, friendliest, funniest birds in the flock. Sure, they can be bossy, but they aren't tyrants, like other top birds I've had. Their egg laying ability is amazing too. I
