"Small but mighty" is a great way to describe a young Wyandotte. As they age, they do tend to get a bit fluffier, and they are so sweet and great producers. We're glad your babies are doing well!
“My hen is very calm and quiet, she started laying at about 3 months. She is in the middle of the pecking order, and is fairly passive, but still curious and unafraid.”
It is always a bit facsinating to watch how the pecking order is established in our flocks!. They all have such individual personalities and figure out where everyone stands on their own quite well. Your little Golden Laced Wyandotte will surely continue to be a great addition to your backyard flock. We hope you have many years of happiness together with her and her flock mates! Please let us know if we can ever be of any assistance. We are happy to help!
