Baby Chicks: Golden Laced Wyandotte Female Reviews

4.8 Rating 72 Reviews
I absolutely adore our gold laced wyandotte, Yuki! She's absolutely stunning and incredibly resilient. She's a well-traveled chicken; we took her with us when we moved from the East Coast to the West Coast to the Midwest. Her eggs are on the smaller side; she laid well in previous years but at 4 years old she's not laying nearly as much, so she gets to live out her happy retirement and supervise the younger chickens :) One thing to note is that she is an OBSESSIVE forager and a really, really good flier. She started flying over our 5-ft fence when she decided she wanted to forage in the front yard. She'll leave regular food and even treats to dig up a good worm and gets very excited when I start digging in the garden. It's adorable and fantastic to watch, but give yours plenty of space and cover those garden beds!

The Wyandotte is by far the most curious bird in our flock, she’s the first to try something new, such as food, and don’t mind being picked up at all. she arrive in amazing condition. In the pics she is 17weeks

Beautiful birds! The colors and patterns on them are so eye-catching, in addition to them being good layers and extra fluffy-butted...which is a read bonus in the Rocky Mountains.

Curious and social, she’s also a big-boned gal, largest of the eight chicks in my order. All appear healthy, as one would expect considering the care with which they were shipped. Post office personnel even commented, best they’ve ever seen. Thank you so much!
