“We bought one of these at the beginning of the summer 2021. It would work off and on. When it worked it was very nice and very secure. Sometimes the door wouldn't open when it should. We lost four birds because they where stuck it a hot coop. Other times it wouldn't shut at night. Thankfully the local fox couldn't get to Then. Then it just stopped working. When I checked on it, water had somehow gotten into the case and everything was wet. There is corrosion on the board and the battery is swelling. It was sealed as instructed. The screws where tight and mounted as directed. I liked the door and the convinience just wish it had lasted longer than a couple of months.”
“This door opener has made life with chickens so much easier! It opens and closes via a light sensor, and might I add, it closes very securely. Solar power is working great so far. My only reason for 4 stars is because the motor is kind of loud - and also, I ordered it with the wifi capability, and had some trouble getting the wifi to connect with it as well as issues with the app. But customer service for Hentroix was very responsive and helped me fix everything. Very useful and well-made product with easy-to-follow setup directions!”
“Our opener works great and is very reliable! There are no bells and whistles - it just opens and closes dawn to dusk with no options to change settings. The website description was very confusing where to me I thought I was purchasing the app that would let you connect to wifi and open or close from my phone so I was disappointed that wasn't the case but it still works just fine. Directions to put together were not good and it took me way longer to put this opener on then to set the whole coop up but now that it is set up its well worth it! Solar option has worked great with no hiccups! We still haven't put the ducklings in the house so hopefully that goes well with no injuries!”
