“We originally ordered the basic solar-powered door opener from Hentronix. Out of the box, the door did not function properly. The first morning, it opened at sun-up but didn't close later that night when the sun went down, or any other night. However, I give them five stars because their customer service is outstanding! I contacted Hentronix customer service and they walked me through various troubleshooting measures to no avail. When the problem couldn't be fixed, not only did Hentronix replace the circuit board, they upgraded it to the wi-fi enabled circuit board with App control included. Since installing the new circuit board, the device has worked perfectly without any issues! Ten out of ten, would recommend!”
“We really like it but give it only 4 stars because of 1 issue. We have 5 hens in a shady backyard but it seems sometimes they are night owls and don't make it in before it closes. Not all the time, not always the same ones. We looked for a way to make it close later and the only solution we found would be to move the coop so it gets more sun. Not an option here. We wish there was a night time adjustment or even a timer option instead of photo cell. You can adjust it to open earlier but not close later. We would buy it again.”
“This is an excellent coop. It is so well thought out. Easy to assemble and easy to clean. We have 5 chickens and I think that is plenty for this size. My hens are happy layers and I am a happy owner. I do a basic bedding change once a week in just a few minutes and a full clean out once a month in about an hour. Only con - the wells that are in the base should have holes in them so I can spray it out and it will drain. Now that I know, I might drill holes, but with out the holes, the floor has these structural dents that turn into pools if you hose it out. I rake instead, but would like to power wash the whole thing.”
