It has come on very handy now that it is getting colder to keep the chicks inside. It is easy to set up and clean. The mesh keeps the chips inside. The zipper top keeps the chicks inside too!! I am using it now for three, one month old chicks and two guinea keets. They still have plenty of room. I’ve seen others online but the size it much smaller. I recommend the pop up brooder.

I bought this when I had a sick chicken as it was impossible to keep her away from the others. Thankfully when it arrived she was back to normal, so I haven’t actually had a chance to use it. I plan to in the spring with some new chicks. Seems well made and will be a whole lot easier than piecing cardboard boxes together.

This has made brooding a dream. We currently have two silkies and a polish in it, and they still have plenty of room and seem to do great in it. Cleaning is so easy too.

I bought this to use as a holding pen when I'm transitioning young birds into my established flock, so the big birds can get to know the little with a look-but-don't-peck approach before I let them all free range together. It worked great. It's pretty spacious for 4 to 6 pullets, and high enough to put sticks or perches to permit them to take advantage of some vertical space. I wish I had something like this for the flock "hen-tegration" process years ago. Assembly was easy enough. Personally, I would not use this as a full-time run because Chinese fir and stapled wire never seems sturdy enough to withstand the force from something like a raccoon. But as a play pen it's an added bonus that the structure is light enough to be picked up with another person or dragged with some force if needed. My only disappointment is that the tarp was sold out when I bought the run. I bought a separate tarp but it's not fitted. I would love to buy a fitted tarp separately but that doesn't appear to be an option.

This hen run was delivered in two manageable boxes. It was easy to put together with pictured instructions. I added two by fours to the bottom for more support and added my own hard cloth wiring to the flooring. The flooring with ties that came with the kit seemed too flimsy. I’m happy with my purchase.

I love this little brooder. I ordered 12 day old chicks and they fit perfectly. At 5 weeks I moved them to a heated Chicken coop. It’s the perfect set up for the littles.
