Sweeter Heater Coop & Brooder Heater (4 sizes) 11" x 40" / Overhead Reviews

4.7 Rating 187 Reviews
I had always used a heat lamp for my new hatchlings, and it was incredibly difficult to regulate their temperature and keep zones comfortable for them. The Sweeter Heater changed all that. My hatchings snuggled right under it, and they easily showed when it needed to be raised by moving out from under. I love it!!!

Works perfect in coop. Chicks loved it. Safer than old bulb with no heat smell.

We own both the 50 and 100 watt sizes. Our chicks immediately relaxed when we switched from the red light of heat lamps--and I slept through the night once I stopped worrying so much about fire hazard. We love that the height is adjustable and gently but consistently warms our growing chicks. We have hung ours from the top of a large dog kennel, from a board across a large trough, and over the roosts in the henhouse. Chicks and hens alike self-select their proximity to the warmth and we can rest easy knowing they are safe and comfortable. The MyPetChicken team packages thoughtfully and ships quickly, too!

I’ve had my chicks under the heater for one month. It’s been very easy to raise it up gradually as they’ve grown. I have the 16” and it’s good for 6 chicks. They grow SO fast.

I am pleased with the high quality US construction and look forward to using the lamp for energy efficient, supplementary heat in my coop next winter.

I bought this to transition chicks from their inside brooder to the coop at 6 weeks old. There was minimal heat radiating 8” to the floor. The shavings underneath were no warmer than those 8’ Away in the coop. They never really used it. By the description on the website I thought this would be a fantastic replacement for a heat lamp when raising our next brood. It isn’t warm enough to start chicks even in a 72 degree room.
