“the chicks like the heater as they can hide under it. Only problem is that I have to supplement the heat with my old fashion heat lamp, as the sweeter heater is not adequate alone in our climate. The chicks are in an outside building that is not heated and we get below freezing at night.”
“Our 28 chicks loooove this heater. We have them in our basement which is pretty cool, but they stay toasty beneath this. They wander around the brooder to play and eat and come back beneath this to warm up. It works just like a mother hen!!
They are very happy and quite in their brooder.
Easy to use, easy to raise as the chicks get bigger. We have it suspended on the rafters with a pulley system.”
“This was my third clutch of chicks and I switched midway to the Sweeter Heater. It did its job well, lowered my energy consumption and risk of fire. The only reason I did not rate it as a five, was that it was difficult to get to hang level and on the coldest nights didn't keep the temp as warm as the birds needed it. But overall I'm happy with the switch and will continue using it in place of the lamps.”
