“Our Jersey Giant was my favorite. She was gentle, beautiful, and a great layer. She died a natural death in her sleep when she was about 8. No complaints about her whatsoever. She let me hold her and she loved her treats. Followed me around all the time and just touched my heart. Great layer of big, tasty, brown eggs. I’d recommend MyPet Chicken to anyone. This breed is often overlooked because it would seem that they are less dazzling than some of the other choices. However, their black feathers give off an iridescent sheen in the sunlight and they appear purple and green. Truly a lovely breed.
