My jubilee is such a sweetheart. She is my only Orpington but with how lovely she is, I’ll be sure to add more to my flock! Jubilee’s are so interesting. I love the English type.

It’s wonderful to hear how much you love your Jubilee Orpington! They really do have such sweet personalities, don’t they? It sounds like she’s made quite an impression on you, and it’s exciting to know you’re considering adding more Orpingtons to your flock. The English type is especially beautiful and unique—what a great addition to any flock!

I purchased three jubilees last year in June. They are all laying now and the are the most sweetest chickens I have. They come up to me and are happy to hang out with me. I love these three girls! Named them Sprinkles, Cinnamon and Candy. They were afraid of me when they were chicks but they outgrew it and love me now.

Ordered three different female Orpington chicks. They all arrived in great shape. The jubilee (Victoria) was the smallest. And one of the others was a bit of a bully, So she was starting to look a bit rough and stressed in the brooder. Once they got into the outside coop, she began to really pick up. Rolls in the dust bath like my dog rolling in something smelly. Only 8 weeks but shaping to be a beautiful bird with some character. None of them are skittish. Nice little group.

She’s a big beautiful bird. Just keep in mind that just because Orpingtons are supposed to be friendly doesn’t mean they all are. Ours doesn’t want anything to do with us, which is fine but not what some people may expect.

I have had my Jubilee Orpington, aptly named Jubilee, for about 4 months now. She is the sweetest, most docile and friendly girl I’ve ever had in my 6 years of raising chickens. She is so smart and personable, and gets along with everyone in our mixed flock. I would definitely recommend this breed! I can’t wait to see her personality continue to develop.

I received a Julibee Orpington for the first time and thought she was absolutely beautiful. She has the softest feathers and a great shape. However she is incredibly mean to all other hens. She almost chases and pecks at them on purpose. She’s never been skiddish around me but cannot seem to be friendly with any other birds including the other hens she was raised with. She also never stops eating even though she has more food than all the other birds because she scares them away from the dish. She’s obnoxious and I was hoping she would be similar to other Orpingtons with a chill personality. Turned out to be the opposite. We have named her Birtha. Definitely not one of my favorites. I wouldn’t reccomend unless you have a smaller flock or only plan to have a flock of only julibees.
