“This is not a review on My Pet Chicken as a company. Just on the breed alone. I only have one LO and she has been flighty since the day she arrived. Despite being handled daily as a chick she still runs from everyone. She aggressive towards the other hens and she over preens her feathers so she constantly looks roughed up. She didn't start laying until 26 weeks and eggs are very pale similar to my Barred Rock. Only positive is she appears to be healthy.”
“I ordered my lav orp because of the friendly factor. I got 4 different breeds of chicks and she was the most skittish. She is now about 4 months old and still the least friendly but I have faith with time she will come around. She and the others are all beautiful and healthy. I have others that were not super friendly at first but with time they do come around.”
“I bought 10 female day old chicks and they all came in healthy and happy! They were packaged perfectly.(I overnighted them) they are now 12 weeks old and beautiful as all get out! I‚Äôm happy I bought here.”
“I ordered 2 this spring only 1 survived, but she is so pretty and really soft I hope to turn her into a lap chicken she was a lot more friendly up until she went outside I hope that comes back either way she is super sweet and very healthy and still follows me around”
“Jacaranda is my only Lavender Orp. She was the smallest chick in my order of fifteen. From the get go she bonded with my husband and I more than the others. She lays large Pinkish hued eggs almost every day, and still craves affection as she did when she was a chick.”
“Our chicks arrived today, all in good health. Lavender Orpington is the most friendly and curious, loves to be touched and held, easily falls asleep in our hands. All others are equally wonderful.”
“I had a sweet Lavender Orpington who died a little over a year ago. She was one of my favorites so when it was time to place this year's order I had to include one day old LO. All 8 of my littles are fun and busy, but Violet is the sweetest. As soon as I cup my hands she jumps into them for pets and cuddles.”
