After seeing the beautiful pictures on MPC we ordered 2 Lavender Ameraucanas. The first one came sick and sadly passed away a few days later. The second unfortunately turned out to be a rooster. I think it should be noted ours came from Ohio and the NPIP papers I received said “Meyer’s Hatchery”. Their websites Lavender Ameraucana picture looks much different than MPC’s. Our Lavender Am has the rough looking darker feathers like the one on Meyers website and is not half as good looking in my opinion as MPC’s picture. Despite not getting to have a Lav Am for our flock MPC was very good to work with and I received refunds for both of them.

We were truly sorry to hear about the loss of you chick shortly after arrival and then the unfortunate sexing error of your Lavender Ameraucanas. While we're glad we could provide a refund, we understand it doesn't replace the chicks you were expecting. Though we think your little ones are beautiful, we are sorry if you are not completely satisified with their appearance, It is almost impossible to know exactly how our babies will look like after their mature feathers come in. When we ship them, they are usually little fluff balls of down. Your feedback is important and we take each customer's views seriously to refine our services and evalutate our breeding flocks. If you have any further concerns, please reach out to us.

I have kept chickens for more than fifteen years. I've never had a chicken lay this sort of vibrant blue--almost teal. It's stunning. And it helps that she's just the sweetest bird, ever. She loves us and the kids and perches on our arm like she's a parrot. BRAVO. Beautiful hen, STUNNING egg.

I am absolutely in love with my Lavender Ameraucanas. I handle the daily and they are the sweetest girls . They are approximately 10 weeks old. They are gorgeous. I would love to add pictures but I can’t seem to find an option?

This is such a lovely subtle color. I have two adults in my flock and had to add more. They have really good feather quality without any shreading that you can sometimes get, they lay smaller eggs right now but they're still young. I added 5 more and they're all looking healthy and growing fast. Excited to eventually get them name tags custom made so I can actually tell them apart which is the only issue with identical birds! :D
