“I love my Cochin baby! She was my first chick to show the others how to eat and drink, and she is also the first to adventure and check out the fun toys in their brooder. I named her mochi, and she loves attention and doesn’t mind being held either. Very cute adventures chick and also had a lot of independent qualities that other chicks look to. I wish I could attach a picture !”
Mochi sounds absolutely delightful! It's wonderful to hear that she’s taking charge and showing the others the ropes in the brooder. Her adventurous spirit and loving nature are truly qualities to admire in a chick. It sounds like she has already stolen your heart!
We would love to see her cute little adventures too, so we hope you'll share some pictures with us in the future. Thank you for sharing your experience with Mochi!
“Our mottled Cochin bantam is the sweetest! She is our favorite chick and seems the smartest too. She welcomes our company and has the sweetest little disposition. Definitely getting more!”

“I’ve had chickens for 16 years. This little Cochin is adorable. She was the first to start laying at 5 months. If I didn’t have ten chickens I’d get more of these. She’s playful tugging at my clothes when I come out. Funny! I tried to attach a photo to show how cute she is but it wouldn’t let me. Adorable little fluff butt!”
Thank you for your wonderful review! It’s amazing to hear that your little Cochin is not only adorable but also the first to start laying—what an overachiever! Their sweet and playful nature makes them such a joy to have around, and it sounds like yours has quite the personality, especially with her little clothing tugs to get your attention!
Thank you for sharing your experience, and for 16 years of chicken-keeping—your flock is lucky to have you!
