“Of all my bantam babies, she is the sweetest! Her plumage is gorgeous and her feathered feet look like she is wearing fancy slippers. I ordered an assortment of bantams and I am so glad I received a mottled Cochin!”
“My banty Cochin from mypetchicken.com is four years old. She's the tiniest chicken with the biggest poofy feathers. She's super sweet and cute, but sometimes she DOES have anger issues and chase the much bigger chickens around. She's a keeper.”
“I originally ordered 3 hens and 1 rooster, 2 hens got killed so now I have Cookie and Elvis. Elvis is the rooster, he is really nice and let‚Äôs me hold him a lot.”
“I was so pleased from the moment I recieved my order. My 5 chicks arrived safely in little box with paper shavings and a heat pack. They were chirping excitedly and energetically.
I named my Mottled Conchin Bantam Boop, for the little black spot on her beak, which reminds me of how my 2 year old "boops" my nose.
From day one, she has been curious, easy going, friendly and more willing to be held and pet than the Blue Favaucana's and Cuckoo Bluebar Blue Eggers I ordered. She is almost 7 weeks now, and her little feathers are coming in so nicely, yellow on the top of her body, legs and feet, black on her belly. She is just adorable!”
“We got the batch of straight run. Anyone want a Rooster? At least we got 4 hens out of 9. The Rooster babies are fighting and screeching at 4 1/2 wks. They have been making their wimpy attempts at crowing for two weeks now. Bad weather to be trying to separate and maintain warm spaces.
Oh the joys of Chickenhood :)”
“Our Mottled Cochin is one of my favorites. She's gorgeous, with green-tinted feathers that shimmer in the sun. She's at the bottom of our pecking order with our Silkie, but overall just a gem. Not flighty, but indifferent to being held.”
“My little Mia is awesome! She was always the most outgoing one of the chicks that I ordered. She was the only mottled cochin, but I wish I had ordered several more. She has personality galore and is very vocal when she doesn't get her way. When I'm feeding them dried worm treats, if she doesn't get hers right away she jumps up to grab my hand to let me know that she doesn't appreciate having to wait. I plan to order more of the mottled cochins soon. By the way, she's one of my best layers, laying at least 5 times a week! She's just amazing in every way. I don't mind that I had to pay the extra price to have her sexed because she's worth every penny to me!”
