No-Crow Rooster Collar Reviews

2.8 Rating 81 Reviews
I know that it is not too lose, hell, it is bordering on too tight...I have adjusted it as much as possible, putting at the top, middle, and base of neck. Feathers are moved out of the way before placement...It does not lower the crow AT all...like not even a little bit. I am so upset because this weekend I have to get rid of him because we are not allowed roosters in my area, and he was supposed to be gendered female. I have tried every possible way of placing this thing....Can it not work if it is too tight? That doesn't seem logical.... He can breathe, and I can fit the tip of my pinky in... but I literally can't tighten it anymore. Any advice would be great, because like I said, I want it to wrok.

When I put this collar on my bantam roo the rest of the flock (three chickens) went after him. They were pecking at his bowtie. We took it off after a few minutes because we were afraid that he'd get really hurt. Now I'm afraid to put it back on and try it without the bowtie.

I ordered a collar for my big rooster. When I received it it was suppose to have a piece of velcro with it to hold the two strips together. It did not. I went to Lowe's, bought some velcro and placed it on the collar, it held for about 3 days and BIG RED had it laying in the dirt, collar and all. I went to Lowes and bought just a roll of velcro, cut a piece to go around his neck with some room and as of today its still there. The velcro cost $4.00. I would NEVER suggest anyone buy one of the collar's. First they don't send the velcro and second you can do the job with just a loose fitting piece of velcro. Big Red is still wearing his neck velcro and seldom does he crow. Don't waste $23.00

Since I have four roosters I purchased one of the rooster collars for one particular rooster because he NEVERS stop crowing. I received the color in good time but there is one problem. I do I put the thing on my rooster. I know it goes around his neck but the Bow-Tie has NO way to fasten it. There is NO SNAP, NO VELCRO, NO ANYTHING to fasten the bow tie. How the heck do you fasten the bowtie? David

Yep, this works. I have used these on my roosters with excellent results and no ill-effects. The key is getting it tight enough but not too tight. I love having roosters in my flock and this allows me to do so while not pissing off family and the neighbors!

We tried to use this on a splash silkie rooster (that was supposed to be a hen) because he was lovely and we didnt want to get rid of him. It didnt work....and it scared me because day 2 he got banana on it and it looked to me like the collar had cut into him somehow and there was pus everywhere and it smelled....and then it dawned on me that it was banana. Overall, did not work put it on him multiple different ways (area of neck, and tightness) and didn't affect him at all.

I wanted to save my male rooster from rehoming him and give a try to this no crow rooster collar it did not lasted 20 minutes on my rooster neck! I don’t know if it work or not because the other chickens can pull it off easily from my rooster’s neck. The Velcro is not strong enough to hold it up. Very sad and dissatisfied with the product.
