“Well, I have to say I‚Äôm still not entirely sure what to think about the collar, even after several weeks of use. The first couple of weeks it did nothing, but we kept it fairly loose to give him time to get used to it. After tightening, it still did nothing even after dozens of adjustments. Then one day I put it as tight as the instructions say, and he immediately started chocking. I took it off and swore it wouldn‚Äôt be used again. Then I got some advice from people who have been successful with it, so we tried again starting with a loose collar. The first day it did nothing, but the second day all of a sudden he was crowing so quietly it was like a whisper! The weird thing is that no adjustment was made to the collar, and it‚Äôs so loose that I can fit two fingers under it, but his crow is almost impossibly quiet! His other vocalizations are completely normal. So for those of you undecided about trying this product, I would offer a cautious recommendation. For some reason it is suddenly working perfectly for my rooster, for now.”
“If you can't have them then dont. This is a fucked up product. I have 2 dogs 2 cats and 2 chickens. I work late nights but I still get up before 6 a.m. to take care of them. Put a Schock collar on yourself first.”
“I have 2 bantam Phoenix roosters that I absolutely love, but am afraid will have to rehome due to one of them crowing all day long! I bought a No Crow Collar for each of them, but neither is able to get accustomed to having something around their neck. After many, many sessions of wearing the collar, they still have "chicken fits" with the collars on. They walk backwards knocking in to anything in their way and peck and pull at the collar constantly. One has even figured out how to remove the collar himself and the other roo seems to have recruited the hens to help him remove it. Being that they are bantams, I think their feathers on the front of their necks are too short to adequately cover the collar, but honestly I don't think they would leave the collars alone even if their feathers completely hid them. I really wish I could return these pieces of trash.”
“I had bought cheaper no crow collars from other places. They didnt work and did not fit properly at all. This one look like it was really good quality and purchased it. It fit SOOO much better than the cheap one. It fits properly and the crowing sound has thankfully reduced a Lot. I know my neighbors probably are very grateful. Thank you for making a high quality product. - Highly recommend this one. Dont waste your money with other ones.”
“We purchased this really hopeing worked. No luck. We have just over am acre and out 1 set of neighnors callwe the county and complained Several times we tried to refit him with out causing damage, no Matt e what we tried it didn't work.
Didn't do a thing for our sweet Rooster. We rehomed him back to the owner. Waste of money.”
“Bought this as my rooster crowed a lot and we live near people and have a backyard flock. It worked a little, but he was still pretty loud and had to find him a new home.”
“Worked pretty much perfectly. Follow the instructions closely and get it low on the neck and you're good to go. Will be able to keep my roo without the neighbors killing me. Really great.”
“I‚Äôve waited four weeks to write this review to be sure I could provide a helpful and honest one. After ending up with a rooster from a batch of Silkies last year, he inevitably started crowing about 6 months in. We live in a neighborhood in the city and I knew it couldn‚Äôt continue. I was desperate, and didn‚Äôt want to give him up. After purchasing this product, I was initially frustrated when I could still hear him crowing. I decided to be patient. Each day I would slowly tighten the collar, ensuring my rooster could still breathe and do everything normally. I kept adjusting the placement of the collar, too. It took me a week and a half but then one morning I woke up to NO crowing! When I walked outside, his crow was barely above a whisper! EUREKA! It worked! After weeks of no crowing it‚Äôs become the perfect solution and my rooster is living a happy and healthy life just as he did before.”
