“The feed is too difficult for my chickens to reach, the water container fills up quickly with feed and the float will not go down enough to keep the water level up. Worst $90.00 I ever spent.”
“These items work well. There is waste with the feeder but I'm using it for my tiny Malaysian Serama chickens and they love to scatter feed. Its better than normal chicken feeders.”
“Overall I am satisfied, but in the end the price is a little high for what it is.
One major issue with the waterer is the fact the nipple is not installed. The issue with that is the fact there is a plastic nut meant to tighten down on the inside of the tube at the bottom, drawing the nipple assembly up tight with the bottom end cap. Guess what.... you can not reach it! An average person's arm is too fat to fit down the tube, and if you do fit, it is longer than you can reach. There was NO WAY for me to install the nipple properly because the bottom end cap is already glued in place. I made it work without the inside nut, but this level of oversight was disappointing at the price the product was at. You would need a 4 foot extension to reach the nipple and tighten the nut... and that is assuming you could see it to hit the top with the nut to begin with. It is just a really bad design concerning the end user putting it together.
As for the feeder, it is okay... but you will find the feed becomes caked due to the humidity outside which can imped the feed flowing to the bottom as intended. I have had to dump out the feed and start over a couple times in the 2 months I have owned it so far. If you live in a humid environment it is something to keep in mind. If so, I would suggest only filling it 1/2 way or less to avoid caking issues, which kind of defeats the purpose of it being a long term feeder.”
“I absolutely love the feeder! It‚Äôs wonderful and the water is too except for summer. The water quickly gets to hot and it‚Äôs not as clean for my chickens as I‚Äôd like. Other than that they are wonderful.”
“Would have loved to have used it, but it's way too big for a pre-fab coop for 3 chickens. There was no where to put it that would hold the weight of the filled containers and be in easy reach for refills. We did not want to cut holes in the hardware cloth to accommodate these.”
