Baby Chicks: Porcelain d'Uccle Bantam Female Reviews

4.8 Rating 36 Reviews
I love my PDUs from MPC. They are so sweet! They even like to jump into my hand when it’s offered to them. I have two from a local breeder, and though they are beautiful, their personalities are nothing like the MPC babies I have.

These are by far my favorite breed of chickens. Though she Be but little she is fierce, that is Fierce with personality! She is inquisitive, smart and cuddly. She loves to be picked up and will fly up to my shoulders when i am outside in the yard with the flock. She is a perfect little fairy chicken.

Although I did not obtain my Porcelain d'Uccle from MPC I just couldn't not share about how much I would recommend this breed to someone who is looking for a sweet and beautiful little breed of chicken. My d'Uccle, Talulah Mae, is just the nicest girl and jumps up into my hands and lap any chance she gets to just snuggle down and be petted. On top of all that who couldn't resist those fuzzy little feet and gorgeous feathers?

We have one Porcelain D'uccle and we just adore her. We have 3 Mille Fleur D'uccle chickens and would have one in every color variety if MPC offered it. These are by far my favorite breed of chickens. They are small, lay small eggs and only lay about 3x/week,but they have a larger than life personality. All of my d'uccles are inquisitive, smart, funny, and very sweet-they fly up to our shoulders when we are outside with them. I can't imagine my flock without these wonderful pet birds.

What can I say; adorable, huge feathered feet and perfect coloring. She is chatty, funny and demanding of her daily blueberries. She wants to be carried constantly and is the neighborhood favorite. She won first place at the fair too. Perfect fit for children. Love, love, love Evangeline.

We ordered 5 porcelain d’uccles with a shipment last September. They are now laying small, creme colored eggs. These bantams are sooo friendly. They are the friendliest in our flock. Two of my children each took two to the county fair to show for FFA. They are super easy to handle and beautiful. All four porcelain d’uccles won blue ribbons!

I've been keeping chickens for close to ten years, and Waffles the d'uccle has to be the cutest and friendliest chicken I've ever had. She is so excited to see people! My biggest worry is that she is always underfoot and sometimes moving in the coop can be hard because she wants to be so close to you! Seriously adorable. loves to be handled. She started laying about a month ago and has been very consistent. While the eggs are definitely smaller, the yoke doesn't seem to be that much smaller. Just seems like less egg white.

Little Wiglet is sweet and nosy, and despite being the smallest, she is not one to be bossed by her sisters. She enjoys being held, but doesn’t like it when we pick up any of the others; it doesn’t seem like jealousy as much as protectiveness. She’ll scold us until we put her sister back in the pen with her. She was the first to get tail feathers, the first to perch, and the first to awkwardly fly. She has a sweet voice, like a songbird, and is the chattiest by far. She’ll flap her little wings, and her sister Asthma, who is twice her size, will run over to bump chests with her, put her in her place, but Wiglet isn’t having any of it. She gives Asthma the stink eye, and pushes right back. She already has ridiculously feathered feet, which gives her the look of wearing wide, bell-bottomed pants. She’s a stitch, and we look forward to a long summer, running around the yard like maniacs. She’s tiny, and destined to be in charge.
