USA-Made Turf Nest Box Liner Reviews

4.7 Rating 42 Reviews
It is made out of an easy cleanable material and is a tad big for our boxes so we fold it abit to make it fit. It can be cut but we are waiting to see if they are going to our new boxes or roaming boxes around the property. So far, nobody has laid eggs on them but they are walking on it. The hens just do not like to use these unless every nest has them and they have no choice. Expensive especially when you have 10 nests

I've had one for a while now and it's easy to wash, lasts beautifully, is soft enough to protect the eggs, and the chickens seem to like like it. Now that the giant order of excelsior pads I'd gotten before I bought this are all worn out, time to order something that will last.

These turf liners make owning chickens even easier. I love that all i have to do is hose them off and put them in the sun to dry. I just ordered a second set after 5 years just in case i need to replace one. My girls love them!

My hens were a little slow using them. I got 4 to try in my 10 hole nest box. They used the other boxes instead of these. I put fake eggs in them for a few days before they would use them. Some hens use them daily now. However, other hens prefer the straw in their nest. I think that is because they like to pick at the straw and throw it on the ground.

Easy to shake out, no need to replace, keeps nest boxes tidy. When an egg breaks on it, you do need to clean it thoroughly. Eggs are much cleaner when laid on these, I’ve had them over a mo Th and they’re god as new
