“Lucky, the Buff Orpington, was attacked as a young hen and bitten on the back by an uncontrolled neighbor dog. As a result a chunk of feathers, skin & tissue was missing. She recovered but could never grow feathers in that spot. Other hens pecked her back and the bare patch increased. The medium apron was a little bit long. After the back edge was hemmed 1.5‚Äù it fits perfectly under her wings and on her back. She‚Äôs even growing some new feathers. SUCCESS!”
“Bought this product for my hens who were being pecked at. They stay on and my hens don‚Äôt mind them at all. Will be Seder I gotta more now that I know they stay on.”
“This is the second time I‚Äôve ordered back covers. The first time they came with snaps to hold the own and this time they had elastic. With the elastic I can keep them on my hens. They can get it off in two days. For me it‚Äôs the snaps always.”
“It was okay, but I had to buy them replacements elsewhere because it didn't cover their wings or their entire backside. Really difficult to put on and even more difficult to remove with the buttons. I feel like I traumatized my birds. Buttons should be replaced with an easier option.”
