“Used apron on one chicken and it sometimes would not stay down on her back and other chickens were pecking under it. Also put one on another hen and she freaked out and started to pant even though it wasn‚Äôt hot out so I took it off. So that was the end of the aprons for me. Bought medium and thought they fit but maybe better if they were wider. Also tried another hen and in a short time she had it inside out around her neck!”
“I researched several other feather guards/aprons/saddles before purchasing these. They are well made with 2 layers of fabric and the elastic straps are covered with fabric which is important to prevent elastic from cutting into skin. I ordered these for standard size chickens weighing 5-6 lbs and the size M fit perfectly. My hens have been wearing these for about a month and they are holding up well. I'm so pleased with these that I have ordered more.”
