“Overall satisfied, what I thought but wish breeds would’ve turned out different. Ordered 10 eggs, received 12. 4 ayam cemani, 4 black copper maran, 3 cream leg bars, 1 opal leg bar. I was happy with the selection, leg bars are ok, really excited about the other 2. Of the bcm, only one hatched and she didn’t make it after about 3-4 hours. Others cracked at 12 days and no development/fertilization. Ayam cemani one hatched and healthy, 2 no development, one quitter. All leg bars hatched and healthy. So overall 6 hatched and 5 healthy 4 week old chicks. I think 3 are pullets, two CLB for sure Roos”

“The default option for shipping is to hold at the nearest USPS center--you cannot have the eggs shipped directly to your address. We never received our eggs despite spending >4 hours at USPS and trying to resolve the shipping problems with Christina at MyPetChicken, who ended up ignoring our emails. Customer service refused to help us figure out where the egg package went. Requests to have our purchase refunded have been ignored. We have reported this company to the Better Business Bureau.”
“Ordered 6 eggs plus 3 mystery. I got 10 total eggs. I only had 3 eggs develope and two quit during the first week. I only had one chick hatch and it was blind. It was cool to watch the development but it was an expensive experience. If you want to add chicks to your flock just get chicks.”
“This was my first time ordering hatching eggs. My big beautiful golden cuckoo marans went broody so I ordered 6 eggs for her to sit on. They sent an extra which was nice. After a snafu with a fill in at my local post office my eggs ended up being delivered a couple days late so I didn't have high Hope's. Not My Pet Chickens fault! But she did well and one egg hatched, a beautiful Birchen Maran rooster. I couldn't be happier. He's adorable. The eggs were clean and well packed. I'll definitely be doing this again we another hen goes broody.”
“I received four eggs and although the box was totally beat up in transit, I was pleased to find no broken eggs. They were pretty clean, but one was poopy. Of course poop happens with chickens so I gently dry wiped it off. I received a Swedish Flower Hen, a Lavender Ameraucana, a Blue/Black/Splash Ameraucana and a Chocolate Orpington. The first two hatched two days ago and they are gorgeous healthy babies. The other two never developed. 50% isn't too bad for a first hatch with a broody 5.5 month old mama and I'm excited about our new babies. I was so thrilled that my request for no "poodle chickens" was heard and that I finally have a blue layer. I'll definitely be ordering more once one of my 31 girls goes broody again with the hopes of receiving another blue layer since my boys can't assist in that particular manner.”
“This was my first time ordering from MPC. The hatching eggs I received were mostly clean and in good shape. I had two out of four eggs with a detached air cell but I positioned them pointy side down within the incubator and they were fine. In my elitist mix I received a birchen marans, black copper marans, bbs ameraucana, and a lavender ameraucana. Upon day 10 candling, I saw the bbs ameraucana had not developed and removed that egg from the incubator. All the other eggs hatched on time and the chicks are healthy, sweet and very energetic. They are feathering out beautifully and are easy to handle. I am particularly fond of the lavender ameraucana. She was my bonus egg and I am so thankful to have her. She is perfection!! I would recommend trying hatching eggs from MPC and particularly this assortment. Since my test run with My Pet Chicken was so successful, I will definitely be ordering more hatching eggs from them!”
